Hi!  My name is Arika McLain and I am a custom portrait photographer located in central Ohio.

If you love my work but are located somewhere else, don’t worry!!!  I love to travel!  Just get in touch with me!

I have been producing artisan photography for 13 years now.  I began by developing my own film and black & white images.  (Which I still love to do!)  While I was at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) earning my bachelor’s degrees, my love for portraits began in one of their photography courses.  Now, I love to make you feel special during a fun, stress free photo session while capturing unique and lovely images that reveal your true beauty.

I absolutely love preserving memories.

I enjoy photographing ALL stages of life.  Photographs tell stories that words cannot express and I would love to tell your story no matter what chapter you are in.  I offer archival prints that are made to last a lifetime and even design canvas galleries to make your home look like it belongs on Pinterest!  Above all, I want this to be your best photo experience and I strive to make that a reality.  I do this because it is my passion and I feel that it is my obligation to share it.

Up close and personal

For those of you who really, really want to know the nitty gritty about me aside from being a portrait photographer, I will share a few pretty important things.  I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work but I promise I am fun and we will have a great time together!  I am a huge animal lover and love all things adventurous, especially horseback riding, kayaking and hiking.

#1 on my bucket list is to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia with my Dad.

I love my family more than anything and they support me in every aspect of my life.  I also have two big babies who happen to be Great Danes.  Their names are Walker Texas Ranger and Theo.

My husband Tim is teaming up with me to become the Husband and Wife wedding photography team I have been dreaming of my entire life!  (He’s currently working on his “about me” section but I am going to show you his awesome face to hold you over… and maybe another picture with my pups in it, so it’s definitely a win!)
