Long time friends of mine were recently married in the early fall at The Barn at Stratford which was the perfect location for a rustic barn wedding. I have been dying to share pictures from Liz and Ray’s absolutely beautiful and perfect wedding day! Liz and Ray are high-school sweethearts. They have been together for so long but decided to make it official for the long haul. They tied the knot at the historical and charming Barn at Stratford in Delaware, Ohio. I can’t imagine a more perfect venue for a fall wedding.
The day began with the ladies getting ready in the Meeker house which is the 200 year old house also located on the property. This home was the perfect setting for getting ready. It provided plenty of natural lighting and space for enjoying time together before the events of the day.
The first look
Liz decided to have a first look with both her Dad and Ray. This was one of the sweetest encounters that I have ever had the opportunity to witness. Liz’s father, Tim, was teary-eyed and the moment between them was incredibly special as he looked at his little girl and how grown up she has become.
Ray’s response was equally sweet when he turned around excitedly to see his beautiful bride.
With every wedding we photograph, I always find myself drawn to the intricate and beautiful details of the day. The decorations and finer details that Liz and Ray orchestrated truly fit the theme for their rustic barn wedding. They also displayed some of the most beautiful fall floral colors that I have had the pleasure of photographing.
The ceremony was held outside at their gazebo and they had a special tree planting ceremony and their puppy was even their ring bearer.
Finally, the night ended with a fantastic party full of dancing, amazing food and pie!
