Fall Ohio Wedding |Kim + Tim
When Kim told me that she was getting married, I was so excited for her! I was even more excited to hear that she was planning on having a fall Ohio wedding and wanted to have me capture it. I feel extremely honored that she wanted me to be a part of such an important day of her life.
Every detail of their day was unforgettable.
Tim and Kim planned a wedding that was altogether memorable and meaningful to them. There were details throughout the entire event that made their special day unforgettable.
Before the ceremony, Kim and Tim had a moment that they were able to share together. Kim blindfolded Tim and lead him out to a field where she presented him with a card that she had written for him. After he was finished reading her sweet words, Tim turned around and saw his beautiful bride for the first time. It was so lovely to capture them sharing this beautiful moment together.
Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests were asked to sign their names on a world globe. This was meaningful for the couple who are both seasoned world travelers. The couple also displayed photos of their family members before them on thier wedding days as well as their vintage wedding dresses. This was such a beautiful way to honor their family members and incorporate it into their wedding day.
The ceremony was also full of meaningful and beautiful details. The Mothers prepared white roses instead of the traditional unity candle and later Tim and Kim united these roses in one vase. The ceremony was extra special because Kim’s brother, who was only home from the mission field for two weeks, was able to not only be there but also conduct the ceremony for them.
Finally, one of the most meaningful parts of Kim and Tim’s wedding comes out of tradition in Moldova, where Tim spent a considerable amount of time. The couple’s Godparents are present during a time where Kim and Tim hold each other’s hands and they also pray over the newly married couple. This relationship is not only for the wedding but also as a mentoring type of relationship as Kim and Tim move forward in marriage.
… and then there was a party
The rest of the night was an absolutely amazing party. I have been to my fair share of weddings (and more)… but this group knows how to party better than anyone I know.
From homemade YUCKA (not even sure how many type of alcohol went into that gas can), a toast rapped to the tune of “Ice Ice Baby,” dancing with florescent wigs and floating lanterns… I am not sure this wedding reception can be topped.
I heard that they didn’t know how to stop partying either and took the party back to the hotel after leaving the reception!
This was an unbelieveably amazing night!
I hope that through my brief description and the photos that follow, you are able to relive the wedding day of such a beautiful couple.
